  History Happy Hour to to Feature the Ritz Fire

SHERIDAN, WY – Join us on Friday, September 22 starting at 5:30 pm, for the Museum at the Bighorns’ first History Happy Hour. This casual program invites local experts to weigh in on a variety of historical topics, share insights, answer questions, all while enjoying a beverage of choice. Retired fireman and board member, Greg Luhman will lead a discussion, focused on the 1988 Ritz Fire. More than just a sporting goods store, the Ritz was a place to connect with the community. People still fondly recall the owner, Sam Mavrakis, hand tying flies and building fishing rods. The program will be held outside on the museum porch and attendees are encouraged to bring a comfy camp chair along with their questions and comments. BYOB.
