This Place Matters Poster Contest

DEADLINE: MAY 1, 2023 – 5PM

The National Trust for Historic Preservation’s THIS PLACE MATTERS campaign encourages people to celebrate the treasured and historic places in their community. The Museum at the Bighorns invites you to share what place in Sheridan County matters most to you. 

WHO CAN ENTER

K-12 students in any Sheridan County public, private, or homeschool.

WHAT TO ENTER

Use your art skills to create a poster on 11”x17” paper that best represents your favorite historic place. Buildings or landscape features should be at least 50 years old and located within Sheridan County.

HOW TO ENTER

 Drop off or mail entries to the Museum at the Bighorns at 850 Sibley Circle, Sheridan, WY 82801. All entries must be received by 5 PM on May 1, 2023.  

RULES

  • Structures or landscape features must be at least 50 years old and located in Sheridan County.
  • Posters must be accompanied by entry forms. 
  • One entry per student. 
  • No entry fees.
  • Need not be present to win. 
  • No purchase necessary.
  • Poster will be displayed in the museum through to the end of May. 
  • Posters may be picked up any time after June 1 at 9 am.

AWARDS RECEPTION

Award winners will be announced in a program on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Museum at the Bighorns. Program details coming soon!
