First Streets of Downtown Sheridan Walking Tour

The town of Sheridan expanded from wooden buildings to many of the stone and brick buildings we see today at the turn of the century. Come explore some of the first streets (Loucks, Brundage and Works) of Sheridan and how the town grew with the railroad arriving in 1892 and the coal boom north of Sheridan. The Downtown Walking Tour features architecture, local history, and businesses with an accompanying scavenger hunt. The tour is about 1 hour in length and starts in the Museum at the Bighorns Downtown Sheridan exhibit space.

The First Streets of Downtown Sheridan Walking Tour and scavenger hunt meet 3rd Grade Curriculum with local Sheridan History. Please contact the Museum Director, Carrie Ida Edinger for walking tours availability and other details. 307-675-1150 or director@museumbighorns.org
